For the eleventh chapter of this saga, WhistlePig’s master distillers travel to Rajasthan, India—the Land of Kings—in search of rare spices to create the world’s first Thandai barrel-aged Rye. Thandai, an alluring elixir traditionally enjoyed in celebration, blends the robust character of Straight Rye Whiskey with a delicate, floral symphony of saffron, cinnamon, cardamom, and nutmeg, all enlivened by fennel, poppy seeds, and black peppercorns. The result is a magnificent expression of strength and regal grandeur, a whiskey worthy of the maharajah of Rye.
