Treat yourself to a bottle of this WhistlePig Rye, and we’ll sweeten the deal with a FREE 375ml Barrel-Aged Maple Syrup ($24.99 value)! Perfect for cocktails, pancakes, or mixed with butter and spread on warm bread. Only while supplies last!

WhistlePig Double Malt Rye is patiently mellowed for 18 years. Before industrial distillation, America’s original farmers would malt a small portion of their grain to start fermentation, the essential step that turns water and rye into glorious whiskey. As a nod to the farmers, Double Malt Rye is crafted from a mash bill of Rye and Malted Barley.

History aside, these grains unite in a show-stopping Rye Whiskey that stretches far and wide across the flavor spectrum. Its base of 91% Rye delivers bold, peppery spice, while 9% Malted Barley adds soft, floral and earthy character.

To take the expansive palate of WhistlePig Double Malt Rye even further, this year's edition undergoes a unique double barrel aging process in American Oak and Pedro Ximenez (PX) Sherry Casks, adding new layers of complexity with each barrel. The result is a masterstroke—a prize pig of a whiskey with warm, sweet notes and a never-ending finish.

Each annual edition of our 18 Year is crowned with a bespoke glass topper, handmade in Vermont.

Sweet and aromatic, with toasted almonds, caramel and subtle, smoked maple.

A rush of warmth, melting into barely sweet, grassy, spice with a lingering soft honey note.

Lengthy and lingering dried fruit.

About Single Barrel Rye Whiskey

Single barrel rye whiskey, a beloved American spirit with a rich history dating back to the colonial era, is renowned for its bold flavor and spicy character. In the late 1700s, rye whiskey was immensely popular, with even George Washington owning a rye whiskey distillery capable of producing 11,000 gallons per year. In the early 1800s, Pennsylvania outpaced Kentucky in whiskey production, with one county alone producing enough rye whiskey to provide a barrel to every two people in the United States.
