  • • Origin: Created in 1873 by Vincenzo Paolucci; now produced in the Abruzzo/Lazio border region of Italy.
  • • Flavor Profile: A "textbook" amaro, often described as having a rich, cola-like sweetness balanced by bitter orange, gentian root, herbs, and earthy, spiced notes
  • • Appearance: Deep tawny brown with bronze highlights.
  • • Serving Suggestions: Traditionally served as an after-dinner drink, on the rocks, or mixed with seltzer as an aperitif.
