The Hazelburn 7 Year Oloroso Cask Matured is one of the newest limited releases from Springbank Distillery, showcasing the unpeated, triple-distilled Hazelburn spirit matured entirely in Oloroso sherry casks. Bottled in 2026, it is non-chill filtered, naturally colored, and bottled at 47.9% ABV, with a worldwide outturn of approximately 9,000 bottles.
- Nose: Maraschino cherries, dates, fudge, treacle, brandy butter, and dark honey with hints of orange peel and walnuts.
- Palate: Brown sugar, raisins, ginger, red currant jelly, milk chocolate, toffee, and gentle baking spice. The triple distillation keeps the whisky elegant despite the rich sherry influence.
- Finish: Long and warming with sticky toffee pudding, black currants, cocoa, tarragon, and a pleasantly dry, nutty oak character.
