New Riff’s Malted Rye Whiskey Finished in Sherry Casks is a distinctive Kentucky rye whiskey that pushes the boundaries of traditional American whiskey. Crafted from 100% malted rye, aged for at least six years, and bottled at barrel proof, this limited-release expression combines the spicy, earthy character of malted rye with the deep fruit and oak influence of Spanish sherry casks.

After its initial maturation, the whiskey receives a carefully judged finish in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry casks. The result is a remarkably rich and full-bodied rye whiskey, where dark fruit, walnut, sherry oak, malted grain, vanilla, and classic rye spice come together with impressive intensity. New Riff bottles the whiskey without chill filtration, preserving its natural body and character.

Nose: Dark fruits, buttery sherry oak, walnut skin, vanilla, and lifted rye spice. A splash of water reveals additional layers of fruit and malt.

Palate: Full-bodied and expansive, with a savory and surprisingly dry opening giving way to rich sherry, dark fruit, malty grain, and polished oak. The combination of 100% malted rye and sherry cask maturation creates an unusually broad and layered whiskey.

Finish: Long and vibrant, with clove, wood spice, subtle menthol, lingering rye character, and concentrated fruit notes.
