This Phoenix Legend series celebrates great moments in Notre Dame’s athletic history that are beloved by passionate fans. This release celebrates the legendary 1977 “Trojan Horse” “Green Jersey Game”.
In this game, the team warmed up in signature blue jerseys, but when the team came out of the locker room, they shocked fans by wearing green jerseys. They were accompanied by a massive wooden Trojan horse built by students and greeted by a thunderous reception. They went on to beat USC 49-19 on the way to the program’s 10th consensus national championship.
Aging: Matured for 14 years in ex-bourbon barrels, then finished for 2 years in Sicilian Marsala wine casks.
Limited to 1,500 bottles.
With notes of rich caramel corn, dried cherries and spices, this 16 year old Single Malt is finished in Marsala Casks, bottled at 46% ABV and limited to just 1,500 bottles, making it an Irish Whiskey to savour.
