The Boss Hog XII Feather & Flame Rye Whiskey

Boss Hog XII is WhistlePig's twelfth annual limited-edition release in its ultra-premium Boss Hog series of straight rye whiskey. Subtitled "Feather & Flame," this edition is finished in pulque curado de cacao barrels, which imparts unique dark chocolate and earthy notes.

• Finish: The whiskey is aged in new American oak and finished in pulque curado de cacao barrels. Pulque is a fermented agave drink traditional to Mexico, and the cacao infusion adds deep chocolate and earthy sweetness.
• Nose: Aromas of dark chocolate, roasted cocoa nibs, and warm spices, with hints of caramelized oak, citrus, and herbal sweetness.
• Palate: A full-bodied palate with bold rye spice, sweet cacao, honey, and caramel. Deeper notes of agave nectar, toasted nuts, and leather can also be found.
• Finish: A long, warm, and smooth finish with lingering chocolate, oak, and bittersweet complexity. Smoky notes and spice add depth.
