Barrell Decade 2 is an exceptionally mature, cask-strength whiskey built around a decade-spanning selection of Canadian whiskey distilled between 1995 and 2005. Created by the blending team at Barrell Craft Spirits, this second release in the Decade series combines decades of maturation with a highly distinctive secondary finishing regimen in Spanish brandy casks and Hungarian oak.

The result is a powerful yet remarkably layered whiskey bottled at an extraordinary 141.3 proof (70.65% ABV). The component whiskeys were aged between 20 and 30 years, bringing substantial maturity and oak-driven depth while retaining the character of the underlying Canadian spirit. Barrell Craft Spirits describes the blend as being crafted from the same barrels and using the same finishing techniques as the original Barrell Decade.

On the nose, rich dried fruit, vanilla, caramel, toasted oak, and warming baking spice lead into a palate that builds dramatically at cask strength. Spanish brandy cask maturation contributes lush, syrupy fruit, while Hungarian oak adds layers of toffee, cinnamon, and nuanced tannin. Decade 2 further develops the profile with dried fruit, spiced chocolate, and an unusually rich, textured mouthfeel.
