Cream of Kentucky was originally introduced in 1888 by I. Trager & Co. of Cincinnati, Ohio, and gained popularity in the 1930s and 1940s, with marketing artwork by Norman Rockwell.

The brand was discontinued during the Great Whiskey Bust of the 1970s and later acquired by Jim Rutledge, a veteran master distiller formerly of Four Roses.

Rutledge revived the brand as the first release from his J.W. Rutledge Distillery, sourcing distillate handpicked to reflect his signature flavor profile.

Cream of Kentucky bourbon is known for its sweet, fruit-forward character, complemented by notes of caramel, vanilla, milk chocolate, and nutty oak.
