Jack Daniel’s Heritage Toasted Single Barrel Whiskey 2025 Release

This special release utilizes a unique barrel treatment to honor the distillery's early craftsmanship, creating a distinct flavor profile from the standard Jack Daniel's offerings. 
  • • Mash Bill: 80% corn, 12% malted barley, and 8% rye.
  • • Barrel Treatment: The American white oak barrels are heavily toasted for approximately 24 minutes and then given a flash char, which is different from the standard process. This process amplifies deep, sweet, caramelized wood notes.
  • • Aging: The whiskey is aged in the highest elevated barrel houses (like barrelhouse 1-09 on Coy Hill) for at least seven years.
  • • Proof: It is bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV), and the barrel entry proof was also set at 100, which is lower than the typical 125 proof. This lower entry proof is intended to maximize sweetness extraction from the oak.
  • • Filtration: It undergoes the signature Lincoln County Process (charcoal mellowing).

  • • Nose: Toasted oak, vanilla, baking spice, honey, some fruit / candied fruit. 

  • • Palate: Notes of toasted marshmallow, caramel, graham cracker, brown sugar, maybe a touch of black pepper or spice. 

  • • Finish: Lingering brown sugar, toasted wood, soft oak — warm and sweet.
