Westward Whiskey, an American Single Malt distiller, has released a limited-edition expression finished in hard cider barrels, specifically in partnership with Oregon's 2 Towns Ciderhouse. The collaboration takes Westward's standard whiskey and provides it with a unique, fruity flavor profile by aging it in barrels that previously held 2 Towns' "Bad Apple" Imperial Cider.

• Production: Westward's original American Single Malt is first aged in new American oak barrels. The whiskey is then transferred to barrels that have been used by 2 Towns Ciderhouse to age their Bad Apple Cider for a second maturation or "cask finish".
• Flavor profile: The process infuses the whiskey with a distinctive cider character.
  • Nose: Expect aromas of citrus, caramel apple, orchard fruit, and beeswax.
