About this bottle
Discover Xicaru Añejo Mezcal, an artisanal aged mezcal crafted from 100% Espadín agave in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Produced using traditional mezcal-making techniques, this expression combines the distinctive smoky character of roasted agave with the added depth and richness of American oak aging.
The agave is cooked in a traditional conical stone oven using mesquite and ocote wood, crushed using a tahona, naturally fermented in wooden vats, and double-distilled in copper stills.
The mezcal then rests for a minimum of 12 months in used, medium-toasted American oak barrels, allowing the wood to complement the agave without overwhelming its natural character.
Bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof), Xicaru Añejo offers a more concentrated, rounded profile, balancing smoky agave with vanilla, oak, and subtle sweetness.
