Myers’s Rum (Jamaican brand, established 1879) has launched a new “Signature Cask Collection” of five special expressions. Each expression takes the Myers’s Original Dark Rum base and finishes it in barrels previously used for highly-regarded whiskeys from the Buffalo Trace Distillery Antique Collection.
The William Larue Weller-finished version is one of these five. It is finished in barrels that formerly held Weller wheated bourbon (12-year in this case) and is bottled at 83 proof (41.5% ABV) according to multiple sources.
