New Riff Malted Rye is a unique, award-winning Kentucky Straight Malted Rye Whiskey that is bottled in bond at 100 proof.

It is made from a mash bill of 100% malted rye grain, which is a rarity in the whiskey world, resulting in a softer, more refined flavor profile compared to typical ryes. 

 

• • Nose: Expect light and sweet aromas of savory, floral fruits, powdered sugar, plum skin, pear, brown sugar, and toasted oak. Some reviewers also note hints of cherry, vanilla, butterscotch, and caramel.
• • Palate: The palate is plump and medium-full, with flavors of elegant spices, saltwater taffy, fruits (like apple and fresh berries), clove, and a toasty, malty note. It offers a balance of spice and sweetness, with notes of vanilla and dark chocolate.
• • Finish: The finish is long and warm, featuring focused spice with clove and pink peppercorn, a lingering brown sugar sweetness, and notes of mint or menthol.
